As a world-wandering storyteller with a camera in hand, I live in two radically different worlds—each sacred, each beautiful, each calling me deeper into purpose. On one side, I photograph luxury weddings set amidst the beauty of Hawai‘i, complete with stunning couples and golden light. On the other, I find myself in remote villages, far from cell service or comfort, documenting the quiet, powerful work of Jesus moving through humble hands and faithful hearts.

This is the dichotomy of my life: one foot in the elegance of high-end celebrations, the other in the dust of roads less traveled.

At first glance, these two worlds couldn’t be more opposite—lavish weddings and frontline missions. But there is a golden thread that ties them together: love. Love expressed through union. Love expressed through service. Love expressed through sacrifice.

Both require presence, humility, and a deep respect for the sacredness of the moment.

What’s unique about living in this duality is the way it shapes how I see everything. The extravagance of a wedding doesn’t dull my sense of reality; it heightens my appreciation for beauty and intention. The grit of the mission field doesn’t harden me; it humbles me and grounds me in what truly matters.

I’m often asked how I “switch gears” between these extremes. The truth? I don’t. I carry both with me. The discipline of listening, of watching closely, of honoring someone else’s story—it’s the same, whether I’m photographing a bride slipping into her gown or a mother receiving food for her family.

I believe in beauty. I believe in love. And I believe in the Gospel. Photography, for me, is the bridge between all three. It allows me to step into different worlds and show the thread of divine grace that runs through them all.

So whether I’m capturing the delicate lace of a bridal veil fluttering in the island breeze or the weathered hands of a pastor holding a well-worn Bible in a jungle village—I know I am exactly where I’m supposed to be.

These aren’t just photos. They are testimonies. They are prayers in pixels.

And I’ll keep chasing both altars and outposts, because both are telling the story of a God who is present—whether in a luxury villa in Maui or a dirt floor church on the other side of the globe.

Between Altars and Outposts

My photography is deeply rooted in a desire to reveal beauty—not just the curated kind, but the kind that exists in covenant, compassion, and the quiet, in-between spaces. I see my camera as a vessel—one that bridges worlds, captures dignity, and reminds us that light shines just as brightly in celebration as it does in suffering.
